About Me

I’m Andreya,

and I’ve always been creative.

For as long as I can remember, that’s been my thing. All my life it’s been “Andreya can do the poster for our project,” or “Mrs. Raska can make the banner for our photo booth backdrop,” and I’m great with it! I grew up with a dad that sewed all of our Halloween costumes and a mom that could put up a beautiful classroom bulletin board with ease. DIY-ing is in my blood. Anytime I have the opportunity to make something by hand, I feel like I’m truly in my element.

Like many creative types, I’m also incredibly indecisive! I didn’t even decide on a major in college until my junior year. Even after I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in communication, I had no idea what I wanted to do. After college, I started working as a substitute teacher, and eventually decided to get certified to teach full-time. Around the same time I began making decorated cookies. It was mostly for family and for fun, but it seemed like a good backup plan if I wasn’t able to find a teaching job. I decided I’d make a business - Cookies by Dreya, and got the process started in the summer of 2013. But, I did end up getting a teaching/coaching job that year. Fun fact, high school coaches have absolutely no free time. I honestly don’t know how people with kids do it! For the next few years, cookies were put on hold. After transitioning from a coach to a yearbook teacher, I found myself with more free time and got back into making cookies.

Over the next few years, I spent a lot of time taking pictures for our yearbook and working on my photography skills. I had a few friends reach out and ask if I could take pictures for them here and there. I also had more requests for cakes in addition to cookies, so I decided I didn’t want to limit myself to just cookies. I made the transition from Cookies by Dreya to Done by Dreya, and here we are. I wanted to create a brand that could encompass all of the different creative things I do.

My friends and family have relied on me to be the one that can make things look pretty for years, and I find such joy in that! Whether you need beautifully decorated cookies, a family photoshoot, macramé wall hangings to decorate your home, chalkboard signs for your wedding, or anything else you can think of, I can be that go-to creative person for you.

I live in Fort Worth, Texas with my husband Paul, our three dogs, and three cats. We’re both high school teachers, and are lucky enough to work at the same school. I’m obsessed with travel, and so far have been able to visit Ireland, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Canada, England, Scotland, France, Italy, and Slovenia. I love planning parties and trips, sitting outside on a good patio when the sun is shining, and taking morning naps.
